Day 21 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines
Today, September 19, is my twenty-first day of the Seameo Southeast Asia Teacher Practicum in the Philippines. Today I had a teaching evaluation from Assessors and Supervising Teachers. Then in the afternoon we had a closing ceremony at the College of Education, we also had the opportunity to perform a traditional Dayak dance from East Kalimantan, Indonesia. In the evening we continued with cultural night activities at Barabara's Heritage Resto. We enjoyed typical Filipino food dishes, we also watched traditional art and dance performances from the host country.
One of the challenges I faced today was saying goodbye to my buddies, today was the last time we met before returning to Indonesia. We were touched by each other, especially since they have helped us a lot during the program, I was sad because the time went so fast.
Today I learned about cultural diversity from the host country's performing arts. The host country has a diversity of cultures such as music, dance and other arts.
I realize that today's evaluation activities from Assessors and Supervising Teachers are very positive and useful to improve my teaching skills. I am also very grateful to the teachers and all the program committee who did their best and always accompanied me during the activities.
Overall, my twenty-first day of the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project Practicum was the closing activity of the program. I am very grateful and thankful to all those who have been a part of this program.
