Day 17 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines

    Today, September 15, is the seventeenth day of my Seameo Southeast Asia Teacher Practicum in the Philippines. Today I and the other SEA- Teacher participants did a cultural tour. We visited Intramuros, National Museum, Malacanan Museum, Rizal Park. Then we also tried Filipino specialties such as Chicken sisig, Jollibee and kwek-kwek street food.







  One of the challenges I faced today was understanding the various histories and cultures of the host country which was new to me, I had to focus more on understanding our guide's delivery when explaining in the museum.

    During the tour I was impressed by the history and cultural diversity of the Philippines. I realized that today's tour was very useful in broadening my knowledge about the history and cultural diversity of the Philippines.

  Overall, the seventeenth day of the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project Practicum was all about tour activities. I really enjoyed this day's activities and it was useful in experiencing and increasing my general knowledge regarding the history and culture of the host country.

    Today marks the first day of my SEA-Teacher SEAMEO Project Practicum in the Philippines. I started today by looking at the dormitory, the conditions are very comfortable and the staff is also very friendly. In the afternoon I also saw the area around the campus which was very spacious with the facilities available.     One of the challenges I encountered today was the language barrier. Although I have learned some basics in the host country's language, to convey broad conversation is a bit difficult. But I noticed that some of the host country languages ​​have words that are similar to Indonesian. Day 20 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines

   Today, September 18, is the twentieth day of the Seameo Southeast Asia Teacher Practicum in the Philippines. Today is my teaching demo at Dignity Education High School Grade 9. The topic of today's lesson is Applied Genetics.   One of the challenges I faced today was that during the grand teaching demo, I was a little nervous. I also had to carefully divide the time for learning activities with a one-hour session time.   Today, the learning activities are carried out with an opener, topic explanation, discussion, and essay quiz.    I also learned some basic local languages such as greetings to the students so that they can comfortably follow my learning. Day 2 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines

     Today, August 31, marks the second day of my SEAMEO SEA-Teacher Practicum Project in the Philippines. I started the day with a warning from my lecturer that the weather was bad today and we were encouraged to stay inside the dormitory. I interacted with my roommates about our respective countries. Later in the afteToday's experience was both challenging and rewarding. I was able to see the habits of the host country's people to remain productive despite the sometimes bad weather, and the officials were always ready to provide weather information.
