Day 16 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines
Today, September 14, is the sixteenth day of my SEAMEO Southeast Asia Teacher Practicum in the Philippines. Today I did observation and teaching assistance in Dignity class 9. Today's lesson was about Analysis pedegree. the activity started with prayer, discussion and practice questions. I participated in teaching today by explaining the definition part and some examples of Analysis pedegree symbols. I was happy because the students were enthusiastic and interactive in the lesson I delivered.
One of the challenges I currently face is in managing the class, I have to be more careful in dividing the time to explain the lesson because the time is limited to one hour each session.
Today's learning activities are carried out by explaining the lesson topic, discussion, then students are given several practice questions to better understand the lesson topic.
While at school, I was impressed by the students who were always polite and diligent in praying before and after learning activities.
I realized that classroom teaching activities can add to my insight in teaching and I also have to pay more attention to dividing time in teaching in class.
Overall, the sixteenth day of the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project Practicum was all about teaching assistance and classroom learning. I was able to understand more about how to manage a classroom and teach.
