Day 15 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines

Today, September 13, is my fifteenth day of the SEAMEO Southeast Asia Teacher Practicum in the Philippines. Today I observed and assisted teaching in the 9th grade Dignity class. Today's lesson was about Analysis of human traits. the activity started with prayer, discussion and practice questions. I participated in teaching today by explaining the understanding part of the material and explaining some examples of pedigree symbols. I was happy because the students were enthusiastic and understood the lesson I delivered.

One of the challenges I face today is in managing the class, I have to be more active to interact with students so that they can pay attention to the material I teach and be active in learning activities.

Today's learning activities are carried out by explaining the topic of the lesson, discussion, then students are given some practice questions to better understand the topic of the lesson.

While at school, I was impressed by the students who were always polite and had good ethics. When I do teaching activities they pay attention well. Students are always taught the culture of being polite.

I realized that teaching activities in the classroom can broaden my horizons in teaching and managing learning in the classroom better. I also have to pay more attention to students' activeness in learning.

Overall, the fifteenth day of the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project Practicum was all about teaching assistance and classroom learning. I was able to understand more about the system and how to manage a classroom and teach.
