Day 14 of SEA-Teacher in the Philippines

Today, September 12, is the fourteenth day of my Seameo Southeast Asia Teacher Practicum in the Philippines. Today I observed the 9th grade Justice class. Today's lesson was about genetic crosses, the activity started with prayer, discussion and practice questions. Then in the afternoon I made an observation to Senior High School. I observed the 11th grade biology session on biomolecules, the learning activities were carried out with explanation, discussion and quiz games.

One of the challenges I faced today was interacting with students, and managing my class was a bit nervous. I also have to prepare faster to take part in activities, because the campus area is large and all activities on campus are reached on foot so I try to prepare faster to be on time.

The learning activities that I observed and assisted today were carried out with explanations, discussions and some exercise questions.

While at school, I was impressed by the students who were always polite and had good ethics. While in the campus area, I can see that they are always disciplined in their prayer times, such as in the morning, afternoon and evening.

I realized that class observation activities could broaden my insight into teaching and manage learning in the classroom better.

Overall, the fourteenth day of the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project Practicum was about classroom observation and learning. I can understand more about the system and how to manage classes and teach.
